I've been photographing Blake's (aka Pinky) life since she was three weeks old. It has been a delight to document her development, her interests, her pleasures. We've shared lots of good times and laughter, walks to the lake, playing at the beach and just hanging out at home. Thank you, Amy, for allowing me to create portraits of Pinky through her ages and stages.
A day on Santa Cruz Island offered the smell of immense eucalyptus groves, the chance to savor California of past centuries, an abundance of photographic panoramas, time with friends, the opportunity to see mother and baby gray whales swimming together so close to our boat you could nearly reach out to touch them and huge schools of frolicking dolphins. Thanks to the Santa Cruz Island Foundation, The Nature Conservancy, The Channel Islands Marine Sanctuary and the Deweys.
This was an especially sweet photo session as I've known this Mom since she was a baby and now I get to create portraits of her children. I love my work!
