Cucumbers

My "Cucumbers" is currently hanging in the Mayor's Office as part of "Food," an exhibit celebrating the wealth of agricultural products produced in our county. Sponsored by the Santa Barbara Arts Collaborative, the show will be available for viewing through December 2011.

It was a full afternoon of portraiture beginning with the 14 member family portrait and culminating in this one of the grandparents with their grandchildren ... with all combinations of those present in between.

The Moment

The event I photographed Wednesday evening was an anniversary celebration in an exquisite setting with a fistful of activities for the guests. The hostess had thought of everything. But it was this quiet moment before the the party started that captured my imagination.

Jenny & Alex are back in CA for a visit from the East Coast just in time to celebrate Nicolas' 1st birthday. I was so happy to meet and photograph the birthday boy, the Edwards clan and Nicolas' New York grandparents last weekend in celebration of this milestone.
